For autistic people, comics can offer another way to share interests, emotions, humor, experiences, and creativity. The combination of images and words allows each creator to communicate in a way that feels personal and authentic.

We want this page to grow into a collection of autistic artists, illustrators, cartoonists, writers, and storytellers who create comics and visual stories. Every style, character, and story can be different — and that is exactly what makes each creator unique.

Trying to Be Cool, Learning to Be Me

This project celebrates comic art and storytelling created by neurodivergent young people. Through characters, illustrations, humor, imagination, and personal stories, young creators are encouraged to express ideas and experiences in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them.

The project emphasizes that neurodivergent lived experience does not have one correct form. Every person communicates, creates, and experiences the world differently. These comics provide space for those different perspectives to be shared, valued, and seen.

By showcasing youth-created work, we hope to celebrate creativity, strengthen confidence, and give young neurodivergent creators a platform for their own voices and ideas.
