We unite families, professionals, and communities in Ukraine, the United States, and other countries internationally to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities affected by war, displacement, trauma, and lack of access to services. Based in Boston, our mission is to provide humanitarian support, educational opportunities, professional training, advocacy, and community programs that help families rebuild stability, connection, and hope.
Through our close relationships with families in Ukraine, we saw how children on the autism spectrum became especially vulnerable to the realities of war: air raid sirens, violence, sudden relocation, crowded shelters, interrupted schooling, and the loss of critical therapeutic care. For many of these children, overwhelming sensory experiences, uncertainty, and the collapse of familiar daily structure created an even deeper emotional and developmental challenge.
In the United States and internationally, we continue this mission by building partnerships, organizing community initiatives, supporting immigrant and displaced families, creating inclusive programs, and helping connect parents and professionals to autism-related resources, education, training, and support networks across cultures and languages.
We are deeply grateful to Autism Unity for providing a complimentary laptop for my child with autism. Because of the war in Ukraine, our family lost access to many important services, therapies, and educational supports. This laptop has made a meaningful difference by helping my child continue learning, communication, and daily routines during an incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and dedication to helping families affected by war and displacement. Your work truly brings hope and practical help to children with autism and their families.
We are sincerely grateful to Autism Unity for the financial support of our annual winter camp for children with autism. Because of your generosity, we were able to take the children away from the constant air raid sirens, missile attacks, and stress of war, and provide them with a safe, peaceful, and supportive environment.
For many families, this camp was more than just a retreat — it was a chance for the children to relax, feel secure, socialize, and experience moments of joy and normalcy during extremely difficult times. Thank you for your compassion, support, and commitment to helping children and families affected by the war in Ukraine.
We are sincerely grateful to Autism Unity for helping provide educational certification opportunities for many Ukrainian specialists. Because of your support, professionals working with children with autism and special needs were able to continue their education, gain valuable qualifications, and strengthen their ability to support families during extremely difficult times.
Your assistance is helping create long-term positive change by empowering specialists with knowledge, training, and professional development opportunities. Thank you for your dedication to supporting both children and the professionals who care for them.
